Earlier in the season, both Rangers and Celtic have reportedly expressed an interest in bringing the Venezuela-born forward to the Scottish Premier League on a loan deal.

However, speaking yesterday, Jeffren expressed his desire to remain at the Nou Camp.

"I do not want to go because want to succeed at this club," he explained.

"I hope to have more minutes on the pitch and my biggest wish is to remain at Barca."

Should Jeffren be deemed surplus to requirements by Guardiola, he is sure to have no shortage of potential suitors.

Though his role at Barcelona this season was a periphery one, he did complete the scoring in the famous 5-0 El Clasico victory over Madrid last November, a feat that will certainly rank highly amongst his career highlights.
