THE Hickman Hill Hotel played host to the dinner and presentation evening of the Gainsborough and District Table Tennis League last Friday.
The evening included a meal followed by speeches by the president David Green and chairman Norman Slater.
A bouquet was presented to the president’s wife, Linda, a raffle and trophy presentations carried out by the night’s MC and league treasurer David Brumpton, league secretary Steve Mason and David Green.
The evening finished with Steve Mason thanking all for a good attendance, Ken Eliot, David Green and Dave Brumpton for their continued help and support, and Paul Johnson for introducing youngsters to the game through Blitz Table Tennis Club, and in turn helping to improve the general playing standard of the local league.
Individual champion John Gazeley then gave his vote of thanks.
The 2011 Summer League starts on Thursday 12th May at the Liberal Club on Ropery Road and players are asked to be in attendance for 7.15pm.
